The Robber Bridegroom: My Working Process
I often sketch images to make an idea more tangible. The business of moving Rosamund across the stage on a “raft” was discovered through experimentation with found objects from the junk pile, beginning with the kitchen table and, finally, using a discarded mattress. The actors rolled, much like a conveyor, using a “leap frog” technique to make the movement continuous.
