Acting I:
“Trish is very encouraging, and has inspired me to pursue acting more as a profession.”
“I really enjoyed the warm-up exercises. It really helped to break me out of my shell. I loved keeping a journal. It helped me to more closely communicate with my instructor.”
"I just want to say thank you for this spring semester . . . I was happy to take this course . . . honestly in Korea my club is also play club . . . but It has been a long time since I was a actor, it was 2006 anyway . . . mostly I'm just one of the staff . . . well, but via this course I feel like I wanna get back to be an actor again. I'm going back to Korea soon but I never forget ACTING in Michigan Tech :) I really appreciate it !"
Voice and Articulation:
“The proficiency tests were, of course, a great way to test our vocal work. I really liked learning IPA. I use it now in a lot of what I do, i.e. presentations where I have to say words I’ve never said before. I thought the way you introduced IPA to us was really good because I was initially very intimidated by the symbols.”oice and Articulation: “The proficiency tests were, of course, a great way to test our vocal work. “ . . . fun, relaxed, engaging environment that lets anyone talk or ask anything on their mind, yet still relate it to class material.”
“You always are willing to help out of class which really helps, and also practicing the test gives us a chance to better ourselves on the test.”
Vocal Tech for Media and Theatre:
“I loved how our projects allowed us to work with students in other classes e.g. Radio Dramas. It was fun to have the opportunity to combine talents and work together.”
